On Friday, July 5 and Saturday, July 6, additional resources will be available in Charlotte and Mecklenburg County to help vulnerable residents beat the heat. Mecklenburg County, the City of Charlotte, the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Emergency Management Office (CMEMO), and homeless service providers continue to work together to monitor the weather, support the needs of the community, and address needs that may arise due to the extreme heat.

Have you ever felt compelled to share your resilience story - the story of your journey to overcoming, feeling vulnerable, or recovery from mental health struggles, substance use, or community violence exposure? 

 Criminal Justice Services will launch an innovative pilot program to support residents reentering the community after incarceration. The Supplemental Income Pilot Program will kick off on July 1.

Health leaders are sending out an important message about the federal Bridge Access Program, which was launched in 2023 by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
