Resiliency in Communities After Stress and Trauma II (ReCAST II) is a 4 year grant funded program through Mecklenburg County Public Health. This grant funding is provided by the Substance Abuse Mental Health Services Administration, also known as SAMHSA, and will be active from December of 2022 - December of 2026.

Provides care management services for high risk pregnant women. 

Data and reports on public health statistics in Mecklenburg County.

Creates smiles by promoting proper brushing and flossing and comprehensive dental treatment for uninsured and underinsured children ages 1-17.

Investigates, reports and controls the spread of reportable general category communicable diseases and outbreaks, provides consultation services to medical providers, childcare providers, schools, veterinarians, & businesses; investigates human animal bites and animal exposure to rabies, and monitors health services in adult day health facilities. 

Public Health in partnership with Central Piedmont Community College will host Give Kids A Smile Day, a dental care delivery day with health services, educational awareness, and interactive activities.

Trauma & Justice Partnerships is comprised of 4 distinct programs with one shared mission: Health and Safety for All. Our TJP programs maximize our public health impact by leveraging partnerships to broaden our reach, provide a critical safety net for vulnerable populations, and increase our ability to serve the community when they need it, where they need it.

Public Health's Women, Infants and Children (WIC) program provides basic nutrition services to eligible pregnant, breastfeeding, and postpartum women, infants and children up to age 5.
