Creates smiles by promoting proper brushing and flossing and comprehensive dental treatment for uninsured and underinsured children ages 1-17.

Investigates, reports and controls the spread of reportable general category communicable diseases and outbreaks, provides consultation services to medical providers, childcare providers, schools, veterinarians, & businesses; investigates human animal bites and animal exposure to rabies, and monitors health services in adult day health facilities. 

Public Health in partnership with Central Piedmont Community College will host Give Kids A Smile Day, a dental care delivery day with health services, educational awareness, and interactive activities.

Post-overdose response team (PORT) responds to non-fatal overdoses in 24-72 hours of notification, providing onsite initiation of buprenorphine, naloxone distribution and education, and direct access to care, treatment, and wrap-around services with patient consent.

Public Health's Women, Infants and Children (WIC) program provides basic nutrition services to eligible pregnant, breastfeeding, and postpartum women, infants and children up to age 5.
