The Mecklenburg County Park and Recreation Department works to enhance community wellness by providing recreational opportunities, open space, and nature education programs for all ages and abilities throughout the County. Offerings range from aquatics and athletics to special events and therapeutic recreation.

The Office of Strategy & Innovation is a division of the Mecklenburg County Manager’s Office. The division is responsible for developing and managing the County’s corporate strategic business plan, coordinating with department directors on strategic planning, managing the annual Employee Climate Survey and assisting with other internal priorities throughout the organization.
