New County Manager Swearing-In Ceremony (BOCC Notice of Potential Quorum)

Board of County Commissioners - Special Meeting

Notice is hereby given that a number of Mecklenburg Board of County Commissioners will be attending the swearing in of Mecklenburg County’s new County Manager, Mike Bryant which could potentially constitute a quorum. The event will be held on Monday, June 30, 2025, in the Chamber of the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Government Center located at 600 E. Fourth St., Charlotte, North Carolina The members of the Mecklenburg Board of County Commissioners will not conduct any County business, or  take  any official votes  at this event.

About Mike Bryant

The Board of County Commissioners announced on April 1 that it had hired Bryant to succeed retiring County Manager Dena R. Diorio, effective July 1. Bryant previously served as deputy County manager, responsible for financial services and internal support, and brings more than 30 years of public service experience to the position. In his role as County manager, Bryant will provide leadership for all departments and agencies that serve more than 1.1 million Mecklenburg County residents. He will also be responsible for drafting an annual budget and carrying out the priorities and initiatives of the Mecklenburg Board of County Commissioners.
